Vibrational Sound Therapy. Sound you feel, not just hear.

Vibrational sound therapy delivers low-frequency sound through a specially built bed, so the vibration travels through your body while music plays. Most people describe it as unusually deep physical rest.

A Vibe Treatment

Fully immersive, music activated experience using sound and vibration to reach every cell in your body leaving you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Specific frequencies that are designed to enhance your overall well-being impacting the nervous system, sleep patterns, and even pain management.

You lie fully clothed on a sound bed. Transducers built into the bed convert low-frequency sound into gentle mechanical vibration you feel through your back, hips, and limbs. Music is layered over the vibration.  Anne chooses the protocols, (tracks of music) for each Vibe Treatment.  Your experience is customized based on your goals.

Sessions typically run 40 to 60 minutes. You stay awake, or you don't — many people drift off.  Some people find it immediately soothing. Some find it strange for the first several minutes. A few find it uncomfortable and prefer a lower intensity, which we can adjust at any time. This approach is known clinically as “vibroacoustic therapy”, and it has been studied since the 1980s, primarily in Scandinavia, Canada, and Central Europe.

What the research shows

Relaxation and stress. In a double-blinded randomized trial, participants who received low-frequency sound showed a measurable increase in parasympathetic ("rest and digest") nervous system activity compared to a placebo group, along with reduced self-reported stress.

Pain and anxiety. Multiple trials report reductions in perceived pain, anxiety, and muscle tension across a range of populations.

Sleep.  Low-frequency vibration delivered through a bed has been associated with falling asleep faster and better subjective sleep quality.

Muscle tone and mobility. The most consistent clinical findings involve reduced spasticity and improved range of motion, studied largely in cerebral palsy and post-surgical rehabilitation.

Who this may suit

People looking for a non-pharmacological way to unwind, manage everyday stress, ease muscle tension, or support sleep. It's also used as a grounding, wordless close to talk therapy or bodywork sessions — a way to let the body settle.

Who should check with a clinician first

Vibroacoustic therapy is not appropriate for everyone. Please speak with your physician before booking if any of the following apply:

  • Pregnancy, pacemaker, cochlear implant, or other implanted electronic device.

  • Recent surgery, fracture, or acute injury.

  • Deep vein thrombosis, or a history of blood clots.

  • Active bleeding, or a bleeding disorder.

  • Low blood pressure or unstable cardiac conditions.

  • Acute psychosis, or a current post-traumatic or dissociative condition.

  • Epilepsy or a seizure disorder.

Vibrational sound therapy is a wellness and relaxation service. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and it is not a substitute for medical or mental health care. If you have a health concern, see a licensed clinician.
